Repair of the vacuum system of the RBO machine

Our friendly client from Skawina in the Małopolska province reported to us the need for repair and adjustment of a machine that feeds furniture formers to the processing line. The machine is an RBO Winner C. One of the reported problems in the operation of the system taking elements from the stack was leaving the last formers or taking pallets, which in this case can not happen. The first suspicion was a software bug, but if it was fine until some time, why did it start suddenly? Analyzing the situation threw suspicion on the pressure and vacuum switching valve. After taking it apart, it turned out that the spring pushing out the piston had shattered into 4 parts. Not having a new valve on hand, we had to bail out with a replacement spring until a new valve could be ordered.
